Candice L. Parker

I'm a paragraph. I’m a great place to tell you the story of Candice in broad strokes and to let you users know a little more about her. She grew up on the East Coast. She went to college in Rochester, New York. Got a BFA in Fine Art Photography. Lovely place, but the snow drove her South. She worked a "real job" as a Designer in Northern Virginia. Had her own office, underlings, and everything! Being still so young and stuck in an office caused her to have an early life crisis, so she went off to travel the Rennaissance Fair circuit. Met some amazing and lovely people, but came back home when the road grew wearisome. Going home again wasn't satisfying after being so adventurous. She moved to Texas where the weather was nice and the people were nicer. She took up organic gardening and developed strong baking skills. She's been here over 10 years now and calls herself an Austinite. She has spent most of her "work" time doing freelance graphic/website design & photography while working in the service industry. Candice underwent knee surgery earlier this year, and having fully recovered (and come to the realization that she's not getting any younger), Candice has decided to re-enter the "professional world" to find a "real job" again. One that does not involve hustling heavy trays of food and drink 60 hours a week in 100-degree heat. A job that is conceptually and monetarily satisfying, and helps her to eventually meet her goal of retiring to the UK.
